The Monty Maxwell Scholarship, established by Stronger Than Stroke, will launch with the Class of 2026 in the Natomas Unified School District.

It will be awarded annually to a graduating high school senior who embodies the values of discipline, commitment, and personal growth through athletics and education.

This scholarship honors the legacy of Monty Maxwell, a father, leader, and community trailblazer, by supporting students who demonstrate the same dedication to their craft, their character, and their future.

Timeline – 2026 Scholarship Cycle

March 1, 2026 – Applications open
June 1, 2026 – Application deadline
July 2026 – Finalist interviews and committee review
August 2026 – Scholarship recipient announced

Scholarship Award

The Monty Maxwell Scholarship will launch with the Class of 2026 in the Natomas Unified School District. It is funded through proceeds from the Monty Maxwell Legacy Walk and ongoing community donations and sponsorships.
